Blackwater Tubing (Stormsriver Tubing) is the ultimate adventure experience that derives its name from the colour of the Storms river water. The 'black water' colour is caused by tannin leaching out of plant matter much like tea.
Low Water 0-15mm rainfall
Under low water conditions the Stormsriver Tubing experience is similar to kloofing where one paddles the pools and walks the shallow sections.
Blackwater Tubing is a serene adventure with fun filled hours of splashing, swimming, rock jumping and hiking in one the most spectacular landscapes on Garden Route – the Tsitsikamma.
Meduim – High Water 15-600mm rainfall (Subject to previous rainfall)
On medium to high water, Black water Tubing is packed with action as rapids become runable. Grade 3 rapids and rock jumps are optional and our trained APA swiftwater safety guides are always ready to assist the feint hearted negotiating the fast flowing sections
